On 2nd
February 1947, Resident Businessmen formed an Association and
christened it as "The Kolhapur Mechanical Engineering Workshop
Owners Union". This industries with their hardwork and expertise,
usually involved with repairs of Engines and Vehicals soon became
manufacturers of Engines and Vehical Parts, and set up foundries
at well. In 1960, the Association got popularly renamed as "The
Kolhapur Engineering Association" and named its first chairman,
Late Shri Rambhai Samani. The year 1997 was celebrated in style
to mark the completion 50 years of success. Today the association
can proudly claim of members standing united for the good of Business
and Society.
- Labour
Law : Shri Ashokrao Upadhye,
Advocate and Labour law practitioner has provided his valuable
guidence and services to the association for the last 20 years.
- SICOM
Guidence : Shri G.B. Andurkar, Ret Regional Manager SICOM
has provided his valuable guidence to the association.
- MSEB
: Shri B.S.Godhi, Ret Chief Engineer Kolhapur Division has
provided his guidence for past few years to the association.
- Central
Excise and Customs : Shri S.R.Paisaheb, Ret Assitance, Collector
has provided his able guidence. The changes held in every Budget
are promptly introduced to the members.
- Sales
Tax : Shri P.V.Deshpande, Shri Bahetisaheb, Shri Herlekar have
provided their valuable guidence to the association.
- Consultancy
: Shri S.V.Desai, B.Com L.L.B. and practising Company Secretary
has provided his valuable services.
